Pumpkin Pie lovers! This is Day 8 of my October Ink Challenge: Yellowjellover, which is #inktober52/#inktober2020* + #linktober2020 + #love. I’ll be posting my work every day, so please keep an eye on The Cake | us vs reality !
Here’s day 8: “Spider” + “Weapon”
The Legendary “Skulltula’s Bow” is a magic bow that shoots spiderwebs to immobilize enemies for 10 seconds!
For this artwork, I needed to mix the ideas of “Spider” (inktober) and “Weapon” (Linktober). I wanted to create an original weapon, and I immediately thought in a bow; however, my first designs were not really THAT cool. The basics were there, but there was something off, and I didn’t really like them.
The idea looks simple, but it was hard to execute… so I started designing a Spider Sword. Even if those designs looked cool, I still thought that this concept was way more interesting, so I went for it once again and got this drawing, finally! I guess my brain and my hand just needed to relax for a bit.
BTW, if you pay attention, you will find tiny spiders at the end of every knot! I liked the overall result, and I really like the Halloween vibe!
I think Link would love this bow!
What do you think?
Would you like to have it?
I really hope you like my drawing!

* I made a mistake and worked with the Prompt List of #inktober52, which is the weekly drawing challenge that goes all year round, instead of the October daily challenge of #inktober2020… I’m new at this, so I’m sorry! Still, I am happy with the results, and I’ll be attaching my artwork to the #inktober2020.
