YELLOWJELLOVER: Artwork #6

Alexis Ibarra-Ibarra

Hello, Goron Rock Cake lovers! This is Day 6 of my October Ink Challenge: Yellowjellover, which is #inktober52/#inktober2020* + #linktober2020 + #love. I’ll be posting my work every day, so please keep an eye on The Cake | us vs reality !

Here’s day 6: “Hammer” + “Shop”

Title: “Shopping in the Mountains”
Artist: Alexis Ibarra Ibarra
Tecnique: ink {hand drawn}
Date: September 2020

Do you need a hammer?

Gorons are known for their outstanding and legendary forging skills!

For this artwork, I needed to mix the ideas of “hammer” (inktober) and “shop” (Linktober). The concept was kind of easy to conceive, and I truly enjoyed designing my own Goron Hammer shop. I tried to incorporate some Japanese elements: a torii, flag garlands, masks, and the typical drapes you can find in the entrance of every Japanese store. This is an ode to Gorons! They are genuinely kindhearted and funny, so they deserve their own artwork!

I really hope you like my drawing!

The (fan)artwork is owned by Alexis Ibarra Ibarra 2020 ©. This image cannot be used for commercial or advertisement purposes, since there are a lot of symbols that reference The Legend of Zelda, which is entirely owned by Nintendo.

* I made a mistake and worked with the Prompt List of #inktober52, which is the weekly drawing challenge that goes all year round, instead of the October daily challenge of #inktober2020… I’m new at this, so I’m sorry! Still, I am happy with the results, and I’ll be attaching my artwork to the #inktober2020.
